Local 25, in conjunction with our signatory contractors, is asking our members to take the Corona-virus (COVID-19) seriously. The biggest reason we need to be paying attention to this virus is because of the people in our lives and communities that are at risk for serious and possibly deadly consequences from the transmission of this and other viruses, such as the flu. What makes this virus "more dangerous" for those groups of people is because there is no vaccine. Many of our loved ones, coworkers or neighbors that are at risk for serious consequences are probably more protected from the flu because they got a flu shot. That kind of prevention isn't possible yet with the corona-virus. Because of this, we all have a responsibility to do our part to protect ourselves and others.
