9/13/2018 - Pharmacy/Presciption Drug Benefit transition from CareMark to OptumRx

Effective 11/1/18, administration of your pharmacy benefit services will be transitioned from CVS/Caremark to OptumRx. This decision has been made because of OptumRx's market leading rates and their superior management program. A Summary of Material Modification was mailed out to all eligible members, explaining this transition in detail. You will receive a new Prescription ID Card in the mail in the coming weeks. This card will be effective starting on 11/1/18. CONTINUE TO USE YOUR CAREMARK CARD UNTIL THAT DATE. A copy of the Summary that was mailed out to all eligible members is also available under the Members Only section of our website, www.iuoe25.org. Once you log in, click on Benefits In Depth > Medical > SMM 8.2018 OPTUMRX. It is important to note that there will be no change to your drug benefit. Also, most mail service prescriptions with remaining refills will automatically transfer. If you have a prescription that will not be transferred over automatically (controlled substances, expired prescriptions, prescriptions with no refills, etc.), you will receive a letter in the mail from OptumRx regarding how to refill your order.
